So, instead of having our district reach from here to Wisconsin, it will be from here to Canada. Go figure.

This will be a big change for us: we have enjoyed having Tim Walz as our representative these past few election cycles. We will miss him.

Good news though, Collin Peterson (D) has been representing CD 7 for over twenty years and I know that he will do a good job with representing us along with the rest of the very rural western half of our great state.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 7:00pm

Minnesota West Community and Technical College

Pipestone Campus- Room 127

You are invited to gather with other local Democrats to cast a presidential preference ballot, select convention delegates, debate the party platform, and elect precinct chairs.

The caucuses will begin at 7:00pm. Preference balloting will conclude at 8:00pm sharp. Ballots may only be cast in person; no absentee balloting is allowed. Anyone who will be eligible to vote in Minnesota by November 6, 2012, may vote in the preference ballot. Anyone aged 16 or over may participate in caucus business.

Lunch will be available!
